The GE IS220PPRFH1A is a PROFIBUS Master Gateway Pack part of the Mark VIe Series, compatible with Mark VI, Mark VIe, and Mark VIeS systems. As a PROFIBUS DPV0 Class 1 master, it bridges PROFIBUS slave devices and Mark VIe Ethernet controllers, mapping I/O data via a Hilscher COM-C module. Part of the HazLoc subseries, it is certified for hazardous and non-hazardous locations, making it suitable for gas, steam, and wind turbine control in harsh industrial environments.

PROFIBUS Functionality: Acts as a DP master with transmission rates from 9.6 KBaud to 12 MBaud, supporting up to 125 slaves via a DE-9 D-sub RS-485 interface.
Redundancy Options: Supports simplex, dual Ethernet on a single pack, or hot-backup with automatic failover from active to standby master.
Installation & Connectivity: Mounts on SPIDG1A terminal boards with secure mechanical fastening; uses dual Ethernet ports and a 3-pin power input with soft-start current limiting. PROFIBUS cables connect to the DE-9 port, requiring proper termination.
Hardware & Certification: Operates at 27.4–28.6 VDC with max 0.18 ADC current; temperature range -20 to 55°C. Certified for hazardous locations and non-hazardous areas.
