The GE IS420UCSCS2A is a Dual Core Controller Module part of the Mark VIeS Series, designed for GE Distributed Control Systems. As a safety-focused controller, it runs Mark VIeS Safety applications to support functional safety loops, achieving SIL 2 and 3 capabilities critical for risk reduction in safety-instrumented systems (SIS). Compliant with IEC 61508, it operates on the QNX Neutrino real-time OS and supports simplex, dual, and TMR redundancy configurations, making it ideal for wind turbines, gas/steam turbines, and combined-cycle power plants.
