The GE IS200EPSMG2AED is an Exciter Power Distribution Module (EPSM) in GE’s EX2100 excitation control system and Mark VI Speedtronic turbine control series, critical for regulating power distribution in gas, steam, and wind turbine operations. As a Group 2 module, it integrates an EPSD daughterboard, distinguishing it from Group 1 units used in thyristor systems.
Its core function is converting DC-link voltage into stable outputs for the EX2100 regulator control. Comprising a buck-regulator and a push-pull inverter, it includes safety features like a 600V/5A fuse on the EPSD and nine total fuses. Mounted in ERBP/ERRB backplanes, it features seven front-panel LEDs for status monitoring.
